We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to support major infrastructure, energy, utilities and power-related programmes from either the Manchester or Warrington office.

This role would suit someone with strong client-side or consultancy-side commercial experience who wants exposure to nationally significant infrastructure programmes, while retaining a good hybrid working pattern.

The role

You will support the commercial management of major infrastructure and energy projects, working closely with clients, delivery teams and supply chain partners.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing cost plans, forecasts, budgets and commercial reports
  • Supporting NEC contract management, including compensation events, early warnings and change control
  • Reviewing contractor applications, variations and commercial submissions
  • Providing commercial advice to clients across live project delivery
  • Supporting procurement, tender analysis and contract administration
  • Managing cost risk, value, change and commercial performance
  • Working closely with project teams, consultants, contractors and client stakeholders

What we are looking for

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Strong client-side or consultancy-side commercial experience
  • Experience as a Cost Manager, Senior Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • NEC contract management experience
  • Infrastructure, utilities, energy, power, data centre or major built environment project experience
  • Strong cost reporting, forecasting and change management capability
  • Confidence working directly with clients and project stakeholders
  • Good commercial judgement and the ability to operate independently

Why this role?

This is a strong opportunity to join a growing consultancy with a solid pipeline of work across major UK infrastructure and energy programmes.

You will gain exposure to high-profile work across data centres, power and nationally significant infrastructure frameworks, with a role focused on client-side commercial delivery, NEC contract management and long-term programme support.

The position is hybrid, with 2 days per week in either Manchester or Warrington and 3 days from home.
