The Role
As an Import Merchandiser, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of stock from suppliers to customers. You’ll manage the order pipeline, maintain critical stock levels, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to meet delivery timelines and service expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative duties to support the merchandising function.
- Manage and update the sales tracker and order book.
- Raise and monitor purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track and review service levels and fulfilment performance.
- Manage end-to-end stock pipeline, including ERDs (Earliest Required Dates)
- Create container plans and upload loading plan.
- Liaise closely with suppliers to ensure OTIF (on-time, in-full) delivery.
- Monitor and support key metrics including Stock Days, Stock Budgets, A-Lines, and Must-Haves
- Drive efficiency to avoid airfreight and minimise delays.
- Optimised stock levels and reduced stock days
- On-time deliveries aligned with the critical path
- Effective supplier management with minimal exceptions
- No missed deadlines and no need for airfreight due to delays
