Field Sales Representative — On-Trade Drinks | Commission-Only | Sussex, Surrey, London & Brighton
Distille Ltd is a Surrey-based independent importer and wholesaler bringing new-to-UK drinks brands into the on-trade. Our current portfolio spans draught lager, artisan gin and Portuguese wine, with Podkováň, a Czech lager brewing since 1434, as our lead product into the on-trade this year. We are seeking a field sales representative to lead its launch on the ground across Brighton, Sussex and select parts of Surrey this year.
The Role:
We are looking for self starter individuals with good customer facing sales skills and experience, preferably within FMCG sales. There are no fixed hours, this can be done as flexibly as you desire. Your typical responsibilities include approaching pubs in person, offering them our portfolio of drinks on an on-trade offer, and managing the account as part of your own sales pipeline.
Role responsibilities:
- Approach independent free-house pubs and bars directly
- Present a low-risk trial keg offer to licensees and buyers
- Convert successful trials into ongoing draught accounts
- Provide weekly reporting on activity and pipeline
Compensation:
- 10% commission on the first order from each new account
- 3% commission on all subsequent reorders
- Flat rate commission of £50 per every 100 qualified leads.
- £75 bonus on reaching 5 accounts signed; £150 at 10 accounts
- Uncapped earning potential, paid as sales convert
- This is a commission-only, self-employed contractor position for 2 months, with progression to a full time role with a base salary and commission benefits available post review.
- If the candidate can bring any accounts with them, upon conversion these will be paid out with an additional conversion commission.
Candidate requirements:
- Confident, experienced in face-to-face and cold pitching
- Existing relationships with independent pubs in the Brighton, Hove or wider East Sussex area strongly preferred
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
- Own transport required
Growth Potential:
- This role is based on an initial 2 month commission only structure as a trial, progression to Sales Executive on a full time/part time basis is available.
