Job Description:

HR Advisor

Do you have a proven track record of handling complex employee relations cases and the confidence to influence and support senior leaders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment?

Have you built your HR career within a manufacturing, FMCG, or similarly high-volume operational setting, where no two days are the same?

Are you ready to step into a pivotal role, providing hands-on HR support, developing colleagues, and driving site-wide engagement initiatives?

MacGregor Black are delighted to be partnering with a Logistics and Manufacturing business in their search for a HR Advisor. This is a permanent, on-site role based in the West Midlands.

We’re seeking a proactive and confident HR professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys being close to the operation. You’ll work as part of an experienced HR team, supporting a large manufacturing site and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality people practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for employee relations, managing complex cases from investigation through to resolution in line with policy and best practice.
  • Partner with line managers to build capability, providing coaching and advice on performance management, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Support the HR Manager with wider site initiatives, including engagement, wellbeing, and organisational development projects.
  • Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices are applied consistently and meet legislative requirements.
  • Assist in workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding, ensuring smooth integration of new colleagues.
  • Contribute to HR data reporting, identifying trends and recommending actions for improvement.
  • Support and guide junior HR team members, sharing knowledge and promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Play a key role in promoting an inclusive and high-performing culture across all site functions.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Has solid HR generalist experience, ideally gained within manufacturing, FMCG, or another fast-paced operational environment.
  • Demonstrates strong employee relations expertise, with the ability to manage complex and sensitive cases confidently.
  • Can build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and promoting best practice.
  • Enjoys variety and thrives in a busy, evolving environment where proactive problem-solving is key.
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills, with a passion for delivering a first-class HR service.
  • Is CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) and eager to continue developing professionally.
