Campbell Wood Search is partnered with a leading international wastewater solution provider working with both industrial and municipal customers. They are growing into the UK market and are seeking an experience Technical Sales Lead to spearhead growth, mainly aimed at the Municipal wastewater market.

Role: UK Technical & Sales Lead

Location: Remote/Field-Based

About the Role:

We are looking for a commercial and technical professional to spearhead market expansion across the UK. You will bridge the gap between engineering and business development, taking ownership of the full sales cycle for specialized water and wastewater treatment technologies. The main focus will be UK municipal wastewater projects with utilities and tier-1 contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities across municipal sector (some industrial verticals may also be targeted).
  • Technical Consultation: Translate complex client problems into tailored, solution-oriented proposals, partnering closely with our engineering teams.
  • Pipeline Management: Guide long-cycle, high-value technical sales from initial inquiry to design, tendering, and final handover.
  • Market Representation: Act as the face of the company in the UK, attending industry events and establishing long-term client relationships.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: Proven track record in technical sales, ideally within the UK municipal wastewater (capital equipment / solution / project background) market.
  • Technical Acumen: Background in process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related technical field allowing you to confidently discuss our proprietary technologies.
  • Commercial Drive: Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Autonomy: Highly self-motivated with the ability to operate independently across the UK market.
