Health & Safety Manager

Location: West Midlands

Hours: Monday to Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established food manufacturing business operating across multiple sites in the West Midlands.

This role will be responsible for leading the Health & Safety agenda, ensuring compliance with legislation, driving a positive safety culture and supporting operational teams to continuously improve safety performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and develop a proactive Health & Safety culture across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Support, coach and influence managers to ensure Health & Safety responsibilities are understood and effectively implemented.
  • Lead risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Manage accident, incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Monitor Health & Safety performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with external bodies and regulatory authorities where required.
  • Support the delivery of Health & Safety training and competency development across the workforce.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and management systems remain compliant and up to date.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum (Diploma advantageous).
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and management systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive behavioural change at all levels of the business.
  • Full UK driving licence.
