£60,000–£70,000 + Bonus/Commission + Car Allowance + Benefits

I’m working with a global engineering manufacturer that designs, manufactures and services highly engineered process equipment used by leading pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations worldwide.
As part of their continued investment, they’re creating a Business Development Manager position focused exclusively on the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector across the UK & Ireland.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of an important market segment, working closely with senior leadership to develop strategy, win new business and become the recognised industry specialist within the organisation.
The Opportunity
You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while building long-term relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, CDMOs, biotech businesses and life science organisations.
This is a consultative, solution-led sales role where you’ll work closely with engineering and technical teams to deliver bespoke process equipment solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing new business across pharmaceutical and life science manufacturers throughout the UK & Ireland
- Becoming the company’s specialist for the pharmaceutical sector
- Building relationships with engineering, manufacturing, production and capital projects teams
- Managing opportunities from initial enquiry through quotation, negotiation and order
- Working closely with engineering and service teams to develop customer solutions
- Developing key account plans and identifying future growth opportunities
- Representing the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events
What They’re Looking For
- Proven success selling technical products or capital equipment into the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector
- Strong business development and consultative sales skills
- Hunter mentality with the ability to develop new markets and customers
- Commercially driven with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable travelling throughout the UK & Ireland
