As a Marine Cargo Insurance professional, do you enjoy the hybrid nature of a Broker and Technical role but wish to be busier, have more market exposure and be the senior cargo person within one of London’s top growing Lloyd’s Brokers?

This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking for more market exposure, broader responsibility, and the chance to be genuinely involved in placing business, not just sitting in an office servicing it.

Here, you’ll work closely with both the Head of Marine and Marine Director to support with developing underwriter relationships, place risks in the market whilst carrying out technical duties.

You’ll sit in that sweet spot between broking and technical work, gaining visibility with underwriters while still owning your accounts, all within a respected Lloyd’s marine team that values experience over hierarchy.

This is a brand new Marine Cargo opportunity in London joining one of those well-balanced Lloyd’s marine brokers, not too big, not too small, with a strong reputation and a close-knit, well-resourced team.

Ideal for someone keen to broaden their market presence, build underwriter relationships, and still retain a solid technical grounding within a supportive and experienced marine team.

Salary up to £80,000 for this one, potentially higher for exceptional individuals with opportunity to work in a hybrid set up (3 in the office, 2 from home)

  • What do you have to offer? You’ll have picked up some experience as a Broker/Technician within the marine cargo market, have had some exposure producing slips and documentations but have a continued to desire to become more market (Underwriter) and client facing
