Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the financial and contractual success of our projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in quantity surveying, demonstrating a strong ability to manage costs, contracts, and project budgets effectively, thereby contributing to the overall success of our operations in the UK market.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and financial forecasting.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities for various construction projects.
- Manage contracts and negotiate terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
- Advise on procurement strategies and assist in the selection of contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to optimise project delivery.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantity surveyors and trainees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the building and construction industry.
- Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
