Role Description The Senior Architectural Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Greater Manchester. The person in this role will prepare detailed technical and construction drawings, coordinate architectural information, and support the delivery of residential and care sector projects. Daily tasks include producing and reviewing CAD models, resolving technical design issues, liaising with architects, engineers, and external consultants, and ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations and standards. The Senior Architectural Technician will also contribute to project planning, assist with design development, and support quality assurance throughout the design and construction documentation process.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Architectural Technology and Architecture to support the design and delivery of housing and commercial projects.
  • Demonstrated skills in Technical Drawing and Construction Drawings for detailed design and documentation.
  • Advanced experience with Autodesk Revit software for producing accurate plans, sections, elevations, and 3D models.
  • Solid understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials, particularly in residential and commercial and refurbishment plans schemes.
  • Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a similar senior or lead technician role within an architectural or construction environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and commitment to delivering accurate, buildable information.
