Electrical Design Engineer

Mon–Fri (37 hours)
Certain Advantage is partnering with a key client to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer. You’ll be responsible for supporting design work on major fusion sub-systems, from concept through to detailed design on enhancement programs.
What will you be doing?
- Own design responsibility for assigned systems/components, including repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
- Implement and manage design requirements, interfaces, and compliance processes across teams.
- Validate detailed designs with engineers, analysts, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to standards and manufacturability.
- Deliver projects to meet customer expectations within defined constraints.
- Produce technical reports, procedures, and supporting documentation as needed.
- Lead or oversee design outputs, including drawings, BOMs, and cable schedules, applying value engineering and design-for-manufacture principles.
A couple of things you should know:
- C&I or good engineering background
- UK regulations for electrical safety
- CAD or SolidWorks Electrical
- Understanding of the operation of data configuration control
- Ability to perform exploratory design concepts using first principles
During an interview, you may be asked about:
- BS EN 60204-1 / BS EN 61082
