Senior Estimator
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
A growing main contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to join its expanding Pre-Construction team based in Stevenage.
The business delivers a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects across commercial, industrial, education and other sectors, with project values up to £30m. Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking for an experienced estimator to play a key role in securing future projects and supporting the company’s continued growth.
The Role
- Prepare competitive tenders and cost estimates
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Obtain and analyse subcontractor quotations
- Produce detailed cost plans and pricing exercises
- Work closely with the Commercial and Pre-Construction teams
- Attend site visits and tender meetings
- Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
About You
- Previous experience as a Senior Estimator or experienced Estimator
- Main contractor background
- Experience pricing new build and refurbishment projects
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
