Interim General Counsel | PE‑Backed Scale‑Up | FTC

Duration: 6-7 months (FTC)

Working pattern: 4 days per week

Location: Fully remote

We’re working with a PE‑backed, high‑growth global business entering an exciting scale‑up phase.

This is a build‑and‑do role, ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‑on levels.

The Role

• Acting as the senior legal lead, reporting directly into the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team.
• Supporting a business that has recently completed multiple M&A transactions and is now scaling post‑acquisition.
• Drafting and negotiating high‑value commercial and customer contracts.
• Owning stakeholder management across commercial teams and senior leadership.
• Building and embedding legal processes, including contract management systems, to support growth and exit readiness.
• Supporting a globally distributed business with operations internationally.
• Operating in a PE environment with pace and ambition at the forefront.

About You

• Senior commercial lawyer with experience in PE‑backed scale‑ups and/or businesses that have been through an exit.
• Highly commercial, pragmatic, and solutions‑focused.
• Comfortable multitasking while building legal infrastructure and delivering BAU.
• Strong experience working with international stakeholders across time zones.
• Background in manufacturing is desirable.
