Job Description:

Scaling a Safety‑Critical Service Platform

Location: South West (Multi‑Site) | Package: Competitive

Our client is a rapidly growing, multi‑discipline services group operating across electrical testing, fire safety, and security. Following a period of sustained growth, including acquisition, the business now requires a step‑change in operational maturity—moving from capable delivery to a highly standardised, data‑led and scalable service platform.

They are now seeking a senior operational leader to shape and deliver this next phase—bringing consistency, control and performance across a complex, multi‑site service operation.

The Role

This is a transformational leadership position focused on building a unified operating model across a fragmented service landscape.

You will:

  • Create and embed a group‑wide operating blueprint across multi‑site service delivery
  • Drive visibility, performance management and accountability through data, systems and governance
  • Integrate acquired businesses into a cohesive, standardised operational platform
  • Take full ownership of service performance, customer delivery and commercial outcomes
  • Balance safety, compliance and customer experience at scale
  • Build capability across leadership teams to deliver consistent, repeatable execution
  • Lead the organisation through operational change, maturity and continuous improvement

What Success Looks Like (12–18 months)

  • A clearly defined and embedded group operating model
  • Improved consistency, utilisation and service performance across regions
  • Enhanced data visibility and KPI discipline across the operation
  • Successful integration and alignment of acquired businesses
  • A stronger leadership bench delivering structured, accountable performance

About You

You are a proven operational leader with experience in scaling or professionalising complex, multi‑site service organisations.

You will bring:

  • A track record of building and scaling service operations within technical or compliance‑led environments (e.g. electrical, fire safety, security, HVAC, FM, utilities, infrastructure, safety services)
  • Evidence of driving consistency across fragmented or acquisitive business structures
  • Strong commercial acumen, including full P&L ownership and margin improvement
  • Experience introducing data‑led performance environments and operational governance
  • Credibility with frontline technical teams alongside the ability to operate at Executive/Board level
  • A leadership style that combines clarity, pace and collaboration, with a focus on sustainable performance

Why Join?

  • A highly visible role with direct impact on group performance and future value creation
  • The opportunity to shape the operating platform of a growing, acquisitive service business
  • Backing from leadership committed to investment in systems, capability and change
  • A mandate where success is tangible, measurable and business‑critical

If you are energised by building scalable service platforms and leading operational transformation in safety‑critical environments, we would welcome a confidential conversation.
