Rotating shifts of 8am–4pm, 9am–5pm, 10am–6pm or 11am–7pm, 5 days per week, including 2 Saturdays per month

£13.54 per hour

The Role

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join a busy and friendly customer service team in Bedford. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are quite the same.

As the first point of contact for customers, you’ll be responsible for handling a range of enquiries relating to appointments and bookings, ensuring every customer receives a professional and positive experience. You will work across multiple systems and manage a high volume of interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email, and internal systems.
  • Handle appointment and booking queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist customers with outstanding appointments, rescheduling requests, and general enquiries.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues, providing accurate information and solutions.
  • Accurately update customer records and maintain detailed notes on internal systems.
  • Complete associated administrative duties to support the wider team.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure all customer interactions meet company standards for quality and service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll be a confident communicator with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service. You’ll be comfortable working in a busy environment and able to remain organised when managing multiple enquiries.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience in a customer service, contact centre, or administrative role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • A professional and positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
