Validation Manager

Walker Cole International is supporting a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in the search for a Validation Manager to join one of its flagship UK manufacturing facilities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with a diverse portfolio of licensed medicines, supplying products to both UK and international markets. The site is undergoing continued investment and offers the opportunity to influence validation strategy whilst leading a small, experienced team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of Validation Specialists, providing technical guidance, coaching and support across day-to-day activities.
• Act as the technical lead for cleaning validation strategy, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and assessing the validation impact of process changes.
• Support new product introductions, equipment changes and manufacturing improvements, ensuring validation activities are delivered efficiently and compliantly.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Technical teams to investigate manufacturing challenges and determine the most appropriate path forward.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in a scientific or engineering discipline, or equivalent pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Previous leadership experience within a pharmaceutical validation function.
• Strong understanding of GMP and validation lifecycle principles across manufacturing environments.
• Practical experience of cleaning validation is essential, with exposure to troubleshooting manufacturing processes highly desirable.
