We’re partnering with an established international business that supplies well-known healthcare and consumer products across multiple retail channels. As the organisation continues to invest in commercial growth, they’re looking for an experienced National Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of strategic wholesale customers while helping expand into new routes to market.

This is a commercially focused position combining account development, business development and strategic planning. You’ll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, negotiate partnerships and influence the future direction of an emerging customer channel.

The Opportunity

You’ll inherit a portfolio of established national accounts while also leading the expansion of a developing customer sector. Working closely with marketing, finance, supply chain and senior leadership, you’ll build long-term partnerships that deliver sustainable commercial growth.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing relationship management with winning new business and influencing commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic wholesale and retail customers.
  • Identify and secure new commercial partnerships within emerging customer segments.
  • Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, promotional activity and trading agreements.
  • Develop customer growth plans that deliver mutual value and long-term partnerships.
  • Analyse account performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability and market share.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer delivery and operational execution.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across customer organisations.
  • Deliver sales and profit targets through effective account planning and execution.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify future commercial opportunities.

About You

We’re interested in speaking with commercially driven individuals who enjoy developing customer relationships and creating growth opportunities.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience managing national or key accounts within FMCG, healthcare, consumer goods or a similar commercially driven sector.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial planning skills.
  • Experience developing joint business plans or strategic customer growth plans.
  • A track record of growing existing accounts alongside winning new business.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness supported by analytical thinking.
  • The ability to work independently whilst collaborating across multiple internal teams.

Experience selling through wholesale, retail or distribution channels would be big advantage!
