Are you an experienced Supply Chain or Planning leader ready to shape the future of a growing food manufacturing business?
We’re partnering with a well-established food manufacturer to appoint a Head of Planning who will play a pivotal role in transforming the end-to-end planning and supply chain function.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, this is a highly visible role with genuine influence across the business. You’ll lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, drive operational excellence, and build a best-in-class planning function capable of supporting future growth.
The Opportunity
This isn’t about maintaining the status quo.
You’ll take ownership of the planning strategy, bringing together demand, supply, production, inventory, warehousing and logistics to create a more agile, efficient and commercially focused operation.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll champion collaboration, challenge existing ways of working and implement improvements that deliver measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the end-to-end S&OP process
- Drive demand and supply planning accuracy
- Optimise inventory, warehouse and logistics performance
- Develop planning capability across the business
- Improve supply chain visibility through data and analytics
- Manage third-party logistics providers and external partners
- Lead continuous improvement and transformation initiatives
- Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver strategic business objectives
About You
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially minded planning leader who enjoys operating in a fast-paced chilled food manufacturing environment.
You’ll bring:
- Proven senior planning or supply chain leadership experience within chilled FMCG manufacturing
- Strong experience leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Excellent understanding of forecasting, inventory, production planning and logistics
- Outstanding analytical and commercial decision-making skills
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders
- A passion for continuous improvement and developing high-performing teams
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery
