The Opportunity
You will take ownership of QC operations within a GMP-regulated environment, providing both leadership and hands-on technical direction across laboratory activity. The role will suit someone who can combine people management, compliance oversight, and advanced analytical expertise to support a developing project with high technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QC laboratory operations in line with GMP expectations and wider regulatory requirements
- Provide technical expertise across analytical methods, data interpretation, troubleshooting, and laboratory investigations
- Support the delivery of a new project by establishing strong quality processes, robust documentation, and effective laboratory ways of working
- Oversee method validation, stability activity, laboratory performance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage audits, deviations, CAPA, and compliance-related actions
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing analytical team
About You
- Strong experience working within GMP-regulated QC or analytical laboratories
- Excellent understanding of GMP compliance, quality systems, and laboratory standards
- Hands-on technical expertise across analytical chemistry techniques and complex data interpretation
- Confident troubleshooting analytical, instrumentation, and method-related issues
- Experience leading, mentoring, or managing scientific laboratory teams
- A degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific discipline
