Role Description This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Leighton Buzzard office where you will join our small commercial team. You will manage all commercial aspects of a portfolio of projects taking them on from the estimating team through to final account, ensuring financial efficiency and contractual compliance. Responsibilities include managing project costs, measuring works, valuing change, procurement of materials and subcontractors, preparing monthly valuations and cost reporting. You will also collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years relevant QS experience – ideally gained within a commercial landscape contractor or allied discipline
  • An interest in delivering high quality roof gardens and external landscape schemes as an integral part of the operational team
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a good attention to detail
  • Experience in quantity measurement, budget management, preparing valuations and CVR
  • Experience in change management and negotiating positive outcomes with client/main contractor
  • Experience in negotiation and procurement of materials and subcontractor packages
  • Have a good understanding and experience working with the JCT and NEC contract forms
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with on-site and office-based teams.
  • Competence in standard MS Office tools and Bluebeam or similar
