Business Development Manager

We’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help drive growth by developing new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding the presence across key industry sectors for our client.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in identifying new customers, generating opportunities, and delivering sustainable sales growth through a consultative approach.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Identify and win new business opportunities.
- Build and manage long-term customer relationships.
- Research markets, customers, and upcoming projects.
- Develop regional sales and market growth strategies.
- Conduct customer site visits and identify product opportunities.
- Achieve enquiry, quotation, and sales targets.
- Forecast sales activity and market trends.
- Support marketing initiatives to generate demand and increase brand awareness.
You will have:
- Significant Experience in business development or external sales.
- Proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
Desirable skills include:
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, technical sales, or valve industries.
- Knowledge of distribution networks and route-to-market strategies.
- Experience selling technical or engineered products.
