Senior Administrator – Ashtead Hospital

Ashtead, Surrey (KT21 2SB)

£16 per hour PAYE

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00am–5:00pm

Temporary ongoing assignment (immediate start available)

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of Ashtead Hospital for an experienced Senior Administrator to join their busy administrative team on a temporary ongoing basis.

This is a key support role within a healthcare environment, providing high-level administrative assistance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across departments. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating administrative processes, and supporting clinical and non-clinical teams.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, confident working in a fast-paced environment, and experienced in delivering high-quality administrative support within the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive senior administrative support across hospital departments
  • Manage and maintain accurate patient and operational records
  • Coordinate appointments, schedules, and internal communications
  • Support clinical and non-clinical staff with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Handle incoming queries via telephone and email in a professional manner
  • Ensure data entry and record keeping is accurate and compliant with GDPR standards
  • Assist with document preparation, filing, and reporting requirements
  • Liaise with internal departments to support smooth operational workflow
  • Prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy healthcare environment

About You

We are looking for a proactive and experienced administrator with strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months recent UK experience in a similar administrative role
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one prior to start

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting
  • Familiarity with patient administration systems
