First Achieve’s Engineering Division is proud to be partnering with a leading name in the defence industry to recruit an experienced Industrial Painter for their manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled team working on specialist defence components, with the benefit of a 4-day working week, regular overtime opportunities, and an attractive shift allowance for nightshift working.

• Days: Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–4:45pm
• Nights: Monday–Thursday, 9:15pm–7:00am

The Role

• Prepare and paint engineering components to exact customer specifications.
• Carry out masking, surface preparation and finishing to a high standard.
• Work from technical documentation and quality procedures.
• Maintain exceptional quality standards and accurate records.
• Work safely in line with COSHH and PPE requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Industrial painting experience (defence, automotive, aviation or similar).
• Train the Painter (TTP), ICATS, NVQ/City & Guilds in Industrial Painting or equivalent.
• Experience with paint preparation, masking and shot blasting is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime.

Please note: This role requires the successful candidate to obtain MOD Security Clearance.
