Role Description
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team on a full-time, office-based basis in the London area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and promoting Deluxe Staffing Limited’s recruitment services across a variety of sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying, prospecting and qualifying new business opportunities.
- Arranging and conducting client meetings, presentations and sales pitches.
- Preparing proposals, negotiating commercial terms and securing new business.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients through excellent account management.
- Working closely with the recruitment and operations teams to ensure client requirements are fully understood and successfully delivered.
- Monitoring sales performance, maintaining accurate CRM records and reporting on key performance metrics.
- Contributing to business development strategies and sales planning.
- Keeping up to date with market trends, industry developments and competitor activity.
- Representing the company professionally at networking events, exhibitions and client meetings.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in business development, sales and account management, with a successful track record of growing client portfolios within a B2B environment.
- Excellent relationship-building, stakeholder management and customer service skills, with the ability to develop long-term client partnerships.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging senior decision-makers and clearly demonstrating the value of our services.
- Previous experience within the recruitment, staffing or HR services sector, together with a sound understanding of workforce trends and recruitment challenges.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to analyse market opportunities and develop strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage sales pipelines, monitor activity and produce performance reports.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Good knowledge of the London market and the wider UK business landscape would be advantageous.
