ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
A leading investment promotion and economic development organisation in the Gulf region is seeking an experienced Investor Attraction Manager to be based in London. The role will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and attracting high-value foreign direct investment (FDI) opportunities from the UK and Europe into the GCC, supporting economic diversification, sector development, and long-term growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with international investors, corporates, industry leaders, and ecosystem partners to promote investment opportunities, facilitate market entry discussions, and develop a pipeline of strategic investments across priority sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and engage high-potential companies and investors across the UK and Europe.
- Develop and execute targeted investor attraction strategies aligned with priority industries.
- Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives, investors, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
- Generate, qualify, and manage a pipeline of investment opportunities.
- Conduct market intelligence and sector analysis to identify emerging trends and investment prospects.
- Evaluate business cases and investment proposals, providing insights and recommendations.
- Support investor visits, meetings, presentations, and strategic engagement activities.
- Maintain accurate records of investor interactions and pipeline activity.
- Prepare reports, market updates, and investment attraction performance metrics.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, International Relations, or a related discipline.
- 10–15+ years of experience in investment attraction, foreign direct investment (FDI), business development, corporate strategy, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or related fields.
- Strong network within the UK business and investment ecosystem.
- Proven track record of originating opportunities and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess investment opportunities and business models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience engaging with senior executives, investors, and government stakeholders is advantageous.
- Knowledge of international investment trends, market entry strategies, and cross-border business environments.

- Experience gained within one or more of the following environments would be highly regarded:
- Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs)
- Economic Development Organisations
- Private Equity or Venture Capital Firms
- Investment Banks

- Corporate Development / International Expansion Functions
- Sovereign Wealth Funds or Government Investment Entities
