Legal Entity Rationalisation Programme Manager

6 Month Initial Contract | Outside IR35 | Hybrid (Central London)

We are seeking an experienced Legal Entity Rationalisation Programme Manager to lead a high-profile legal entity consolidation programme for a rapidly growing UK insurance brokerage.

Following significant expansion through acquisition, the organisation is embarking on a strategic programme to reduce its legal entity structure from approximately 70 entities to around 10 within a six-month timeframe. This business-critical initiative is backed by private equity and will play a key role in simplifying the operating model, strengthening governance and enabling future growth.

Working alongside a leading consultancy, you will partner closely with the CFO, Chief Legal Officer and executive leadership team, providing programme leadership across legal, finance, tax, regulatory and operational workstreams. This is a highly visible role requiring exceptional stakeholder management and board-level engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end legal entity rationalisation programme.
  • Develop and manage the programme roadmap, governance and delivery plan.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams including Legal, Finance, Tax, Risk, Compliance and Operations.
  • Work closely with external consultancy partners and executive stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare and present programme updates, risks and recommendations to the Board and Steering Committee.
  • Drive decision-making across complex organisational and regulatory challenges.
  • Ensure all legal entity closures are delivered in line with regulatory, financial and operational requirements.
  • Manage programme risks, dependencies and critical milestones.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience delivering Legal Entity Rationalisation (LER) or legal entity simplification programmes.
  • Strong background leading complex business transformation initiatives within regulated environments.
  • Experience working with executive leadership, including CFOs, CLOs and Board members.
  • Excellent programme governance, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience within insurance, financial services or other regulated sectors is highly desirable.
  • Ability to navigate complex organisational structures, particularly those shaped by mergers and acquisitions.

Contract Details

  • Initial 6-month contract
  • Outside IR35
  • Hybrid working with regular travel to Central London
  • Immediate start preferred

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a strategically important transformation programme within a fast-paced, private equity-backed organisation undergoing significant change. The successful contractor will have the opportunity to shape the future operating structure of the business while working alongside a highly experienced executive leadership team.
