An award-winning national law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Associate or Managing Associate to join its growing Employment team in London.
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded practice advising a diverse client base ranging from SMEs and fast-growth businesses to multinational organisations, investors and senior executives.
The team is recognised for excellent work across the full spectrum of employment law and works closely with corporate, pensions and immigration specialists.
The Role
You’ll become a key member of a collaborative Employment team, advising employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters while supporting corporate transactions and strategic HR projects.
Your work will include:
- Advising on day-to-day employment and HR matters.
- Employment Tribunal litigation, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract claims.
- Disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues.
- Redundancy programmes, restructures and collective consultation exercises.
- TUPE advice on business acquisitions, disposals and outsourcing projects.
- Employment support on M&A transactions, including due diligence and risk analysis.
- Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, service agreements, policies and settlement agreements.
- Advising boards, HR teams and senior management on complex workplace issues.
- Supporting business development initiatives and building long-term client relationships.
The team works with clients across a broad range of sectors, including financial services, professional services, hospitality, transport and other commercial industries.
About You
We’re keen to speak with lawyers who have:
- Ideally 5+ years’ PQE in Employment law (although candidates outside this range are encouraged to apply).
- Strong experience advising employer clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Employment Tribunal experience.
- Exposure to corporate support work and TUPE would be advantageous.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- A commercial approach and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
- Experience mentoring junior lawyers or taking a lead role on matters would be beneficial.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a genuine enthusiasm for employment law.
