Our client is a leading specialist contractor within the passive fire protection sector, delivering high-quality fire safety solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and public sector projects.
With an established reputation for technical excellence, compliance and exceptional customer service, they work alongside many of the UK’s leading principal contractors, developers, housing associations and facilities management providers. Their services include fire stopping, fire compartmentation, fire door installation and maintenance, fire door inspections, structural fire protection and specialist remedial works.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their expanding team.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple passive fire protection projects from award through to completion. You will ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple passive fire protection contracts simultaneously.
- Oversee project delivery from pre-start through to completion and final handover.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
- Lead and support Site Managers, Supervisors and installation teams.
- Develop and maintain project programmes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
- Chair progress meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Monitor project costs and work closely with the commercial team.
- Ensure all works comply with current fire safety legislation, British Standards and third-party accreditation requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and supply chain performance.
- Identify project risks and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all documentation, quality assurance records and certification are completed accurately.
- Drive high standards of health, safety and quality across all sites.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within passive fire protection, construction or specialist contracting.
- Strong knowledge of fire stopping, compartmentation and fire door projects.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- FIRAS, BM TRADA or other passive fire accreditation knowledge would be advantageous.
