Project Designer -Workplace Design & Build | London
Two roles. One brilliant design business. Which one is you?
I’m working with a leading London workplace strategy, design and build specialist who are hiring two Project Designers and the roles offer genuinely different paths depending on where your strengths lie.
Route one: the Enterprise designer. You’ll work on larger, high-profile workplace projects as part of an integrated design team from creative pitch through to delivery. Expect fast-paced, ideas-led work: part of the team presenting to clients, space planning at speed, producing standout concepts and constantly raising the creative bar alongside talented designers. If you thrive on collaboration and love stretching a brief further than the client imagined, this is your role.
Route two: the SME designer. You’ll own the full design journey on small and medium projects, from site surveys and concept development through to technical packages, budgets and completion. On some projects you’ll act as account manager, taking the brief and seeing it all the way through yourself. If you want real autonomy and the satisfaction of watching your vision get built, this is yours.
For both, you’ll need:
- Experience in commercial workplace interiors, ideally design & build or CAT B fit-out
- Strong AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop skills
- A portfolio showing genuine project involvement
- Confidence with clients and a collaborative, proactive approach
- Commercial awareness and the ability to work to tight deadlines
