About the Team
The Real Estate Disputes team is recognised as one of the UK’s leading contentious property practices, acting on some of the most significant and technically complex disputes in the market. The team advises an impressive client base including landlords, tenants, developers, investors, corporate occupiers, banks, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and professional advisers.
Lawyers within the team regularly handle high-value litigation before the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, alongside advising on the full spectrum of contentious real estate matters including lease renewals, dilapidations, break notices, forfeiture, possession, rent review disputes, service charge disputes, development disputes, title and boundary issues, rights of way, Building Safety Act matters and professional negligence claims.
Known for its technical excellence and commercially focused advice, the team works on precedent-setting matters across both domestic and international markets. The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Real Estate Disputes lawyer to move into, or continue developing within, a Knowledge Lawyer position that sits at the heart of one of the firm’s strategic growth areas.
Working closely with partners and fee earners across the London Real Estate Disputes practice, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing the team’s knowledge resources, ensuring lawyers remain at the forefront of legal and market developments. You will analyse new legislation, case law and procedural changes, transforming complex legal developments into practical guidance, precedents, playbooks and training materials that improve the consistency and quality of advice delivered to clients.
Alongside maintaining technical know-how, you will provide strategic support on complex legal issues, helping lawyers navigate challenging points of law and civil procedure while contributing to the development of litigation strategies across key client matters.
You will play a visible role within the team by designing and delivering engaging internal and client training programmes, supporting business development initiatives, producing thought leadership and collaborating with marketing and business development teams on client-facing publications.
Innovation will form a key part of your remit, with opportunities to help shape the firm’s knowledge management strategy through the use of AI, legal technology and modern knowledge-sharing tools. You will also work closely with the wider Knowledge Lawyer network to promote best practice and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Requirements
- Be a UK qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in Real Estate Disputes or an experienced Knowledge Lawyer/PSL with a strong contentious property background.
- Demonstrate extensive experience across a broad range of contentious real estate matters, including lease renewals, dilapidations, break notices, forfeiture, possession, service charge disputes, rent reviews, development disputes, Building Safety Act matters and property-related professional negligence.
- Possess exceptional technical, analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to interpret complex legislation and case law into clear, practical guidance.
- Be confident delivering training, presenting to colleagues and clients, and producing high-quality knowledge resources and thought leadership.
- Have a collaborative approach with strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects while building relationships across legal, business development and knowledge teams.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in legal innovation, knowledge management and the effective use of legal technology and AI.
