Overview
A global FTSE 100 organisation is seeking an experienced procurement professional to join its Group Procurement function, taking ownership of a strategically important Legal Services spend portfolio, whilst also supporting a range of broader Professional Services categories.
This is a highly visible role, working closely with senior stakeholders across Legal, Finance and Corporate Functions to develop category strategies, manage key supplier relationships and deliver commercial value across a complex international spend portfolio.
The successful candidate will inherit an established category whilst also having the opportunity to shape its future direction as the procurement function continues to evolve globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the global category strategy for Legal Services procurement.
- Manage strategic relationships with leading international law firms and legal service providers.
- Drive commercial value, innovation and governance across legal supplier engagements.
- Support wider Professional Services categories, including Consulting, Audit, Tax and Advisory Services.
- Lead complex sourcing, negotiation and supplier management initiatives.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Legal, Finance and Corporate Functions.
- Contribute to the continued development and maturity of the global procurement function.
Experience Required:
- Approximately 5–8 years’ procurement experience.
- Strong experience across Professional Services procurement.
- Direct experience managing Legal Services spend is highly desirable.
- Exposure to Consulting, Audit, Tax or Advisory categories would be advantageous.
- Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience gained within a recognised multinational, FTSE-listed or similarly complex organisation.
- Strong academic background preferred.
- Evidence of consistent career progression and leadership potential.
