Senior Commercial Property Manager

My client is a forward-thinking commercial property management business that’s redefining the way assets are managed. Operating as an independent and agile consultancy, they combine outstanding client service with innovative technology to deliver a proactive, transparent and modern approach to commercial property management.

With a growing portfolio of high-quality office, industrial and retail assets, they are looking to appoint an ambitious and experienced Senior Commercial Property Manager to play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property professional to take ownership of a diverse commercial portfolio while working closely with institutional landlords, occupiers and internal stakeholders.

You’ll be responsible for driving asset performance, building long-term client relationships and delivering exceptional levels of service across every aspect of property management. The role offers genuine autonomy, exposure to high-value assets and the chance to work within a business that embraces innovation and technology to improve outcomes for both clients and occupiers.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Property Management

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial properties across the office, industrial and retail sectors.
  • Oversee day-to-day property operations, ensuring assets are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory obligations, health & safety legislation and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, facilities management and capital works alongside specialist contractors and consultants.
  • Carry out regular property inspections and implement improvement initiatives where required.

Client & Occupier Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for a range of landlord clients and occupiers.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic advice.
  • Manage tenant enquiries, lease events, assignments, licences and alterations.
  • Deliver an exceptional occupier experience focused on long-term retention and service excellence.

Financial Management

  • Oversee service charge budgets, annual reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Monitor rent collection, arrears and overall portfolio performance.
  • Produce accurate management reports and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and maximise asset value.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Embrace technology and property management systems to enhance operational performance.
  • Utilise real-time data and reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Drive improvements in processes, client reporting and service delivery.

About You

  • Minimum of 5 years’ commercial property management experience.
  • Experience managing multi-let office, industrial and retail portfolios.
  • MRICS qualified (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of commercial leases, Landlord & Tenant legislation, service charge management and health & safety compliance.
  • Excellent client-facing, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable using property management software and embracing technology to improve efficiency.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
