I have been exclusively retained by a highly regarded mid-market private equity platform to hire a Legal Counsel into its London team. This is a standout opportunity to work closely with an experienced General Counsel in a lean, high-performing environment, with real responsibility and visibility from day one.
The role sits at the heart of the investment process, with a strong focus on M&A, advising on acquisitions, disposals, exits and portfolio company activity across the full deal lifecycle. Alongside this, you will also be involved in fund-related and structural matters, giving you genuine breadth and a commercial vantage point across the business.
This will suit a lawyer from a leading Magic Circle, Silver Circle or top US firm with strong private equity experience, gained through M&A, private funds, or a combination of both. Prior in-house or secondment experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The successful candidate will combine strong technical ability with commercial instinct and be motivated by the opportunity to operate in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment with genuine autonomy and impact.
