Yard Manager

An experienced Scaffolding Yard Manager is required for our Head Office scaffolding Yard based near Croydon.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the Scaffolding Yard Team.
• Control scaffolding stock and monitor equipment.
• Supervise the loading and unloading of equipment onto lorries.
• Oversee the sorting of equipment and fittings and the movement of equipment within the scaffold yard.
• Ensure the team are fully trained in accordance with their roles.
• Maintain the yard and surrounding areas clean, tidy and safety‑conscious.

Qualifications

• Strong proven managerial experience in a scaffolding yard environment.
• Ability to identify and manage inefficiencies and manage a team.
• Scaffolding background; experience with Layher, Tube & Fitting preferable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a demanding, time‑sensitive, fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent team‑working style.

Other Requirements

• Valid driving licence.
• Experience in HGV transport would be beneficial.
• Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of duties within the yard, including some weekend work.
