Role Summary
This post within NHSGGC’s Public Health Directorate offers an exciting opportunity to provide strong general management support within the Improving Population Health section of the Directorate.
Responsibilities
- Manage staff and be accountable for all aspects of service delivery.
- Oversee budget and physical resources to ensure Public Health Priorities and outcomes are delivered to the population of NHSGGC.
- Implement systems and processes to enable services to meet Clinical, Corporate and Staff Governance requirements, including monitoring, performance management and evaluation.
- Ensure effective organisational arrangements to implement decisions of the Public Health Directorate and to lead staff in accordance with appropriate policies, procedures and Staff Governance requirements.
- Manage risk across a wide range of programmes in line with risk‑management frameworks.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of NHS policy and service agenda.
- Public Health experience is advantageous but not essential.
