This organisation is a leading Northern Ireland based company that regularly works on major Design & Build and Civil Engineering projects valued up to £ currently require an experienced Project Director to join their senior leadership team within the construction division to support a major new flagship project valued at £100 million, providing oversight across a high-value scheme. Your new role
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Project Director will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of major projects and programmes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will provide leadership across project teams, maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth and strategic direction of the responsibilities will include: * Providing leadership and direction to operational teams, ensuring projects are appropriately resourced and managed. * Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, environmental, quality and legislative requirements across the project. * Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders. * Monitoring project performance, delivery programmes and operational effectiveness across multiple schemes. * Maintaining direct oversight of project budgets, expenditure and financial performance. * Attending regular project and CVR reviews, providing support and guidance to project teams. * Identifying risks while implementing mitigation strategies to protect commercial and contractual positions. * Monitoring project correspondence, contractual notifications and record keeping * Driving continuous improvement across supply chain management, project delivery and operational excellence. * Contributing to strategic planning and wider business decision-making processes. * Leading workshops and engagement initiatives focused on collaboration & continuous improvement * Supporting CSR initiatives and maintaining the highest standards of corporate responsibility and community engagement.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced senior construction leader with a proven track record of managing complex projects and high-performing teams within the construction will be commercially astute, operationally focused and capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders at every you will possess the following:
* Extensive experience within the construction and civil engineering sector. * Proven experience operating at Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Director or equivalent level. * Demonstrable leadership experience across large-scale and technically challenging projects. * Strong understanding of Design & Build procurement routes and construction delivery methodologies. * Sound knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract. * Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing project financial performance. * Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.* Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners. * Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects or major programmes. * Strong planning, organisational and strategic management capabilities. * Full UK driving licence.
* You will need to be willing to travel to the UK on a weekly basis to deliver the scheme. Professional membership with organisations such as ICE, CIOB or an equivalent body would be advantageous but is not essential.
