We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive, and forward‑thinking practice on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP seeking a rewarding clinical role with an outstanding work‑life balance, minimal administrative burden, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

The post is for 6 sessions per week, with Thursday and Friday as essential working days, while the remaining sessions can be arranged flexibly between Monday and Wednesday. Certificate of Sponsorship (Skilled Worker Visa) is available for suitable candidates.

Our clinical model allows you to focus on patient care. Each clinical day consists of 14 patients in the morning and 14 patients in the afternoon, together with one home visit per day. There is no routine administrative paperwork, allowing you to concentrate on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care.

You will work alongside experienced GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and an excellent administrative team within a modern, well‑organised practice committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and staff wellbeing. Main duties of the job

  • Provide face‑to‑face, telephone and video consultations as appropriate.
  • Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Prescribe safely and in accordance with national and local guidelines.
  • Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and community services where required.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive clinical records using the practice clinical system.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, pharmacists, healthcare assistants and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, significant event reviews and quality improvement activities.
  • Promote health education, disease prevention and patient self‑management.
  • Undertake one home visit per clinical day where required.
  • Comply with GMC standards, NHS policies and practice procedures.

Clinical Workload

  • 14 patient appointments in the morning.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Maintain full GMC registration and a licence to practise.
  • Keep professional knowledge and skills up to date through continuing professional development.
  • Participate in appraisal and mandatory training.
  • Work within all relevant clinical governance, safeguarding, infection prevention, information governance and health and safety policies.
  • Treat all patients, carers and colleagues with dignity, compassion and respect.
  • Support the practice in delivering high‑quality, accessible and patient‑focused services.
