Head of Sales – Catering Equipment (Maintenance and Service)

  • Senior sales leadership opportunity with a growing national service business
  • Lead and develop a team of 5 National Account Managers and their National Account Executive teams
  • Strategic role focused on customer retention, growth and commercial performance
  • National remit with a blend of field, home-based and office working

THE ROLE:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Sales to lead a national account management function within a well-established technical services organisation. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for a team of 5 National Account Managers, who in turn manage a team of National Account Executives. The focus of the role is to drive profitable growth across key national accounts, strengthen customer relationships, and build a high-performing sales culture.

You will coach and develop your team, oversee strategic account plans and customer reviews, identify new commercial opportunities, and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service across a multi-site customer base. This is a highly visible leadership position where you will play a key role in shaping future sales strategy and performance.

LOCATION:

National role with regular UK travel. Candidates should ideally be located within approximately two hours of the West Midlands with attendance at the office typically 1-2 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience leading and developing sales or account management teams
  • Experience managing large, multi-site or national accounts
  • Background in route-to-market sectors such as food, drink, chemicals, service contracts or related industries, or experience selling capital equipment solutions
  • Commercially astute with strong coaching, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to build credibility at senior customer and board level
  • Full UK driving licence

THE PACKAGE:

  • £75,000 – £80,000 basic salary
