EBME & MEL Manager – Estates Department, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH)

Applications are invited for an experienced EBME & MEL Manager to lead two teams engaged in maintenance, repair, calibration, testing, and lifecycle management of medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead EBME & Medical Equipment Library services, delivering full lifecycle management of medical devices, including procurement, commissioning, inventory management, maintenance and disposal.
• Ensure assurance regarding patient safety in relation to medical devices and compliance with CQC Regulation 15, Premises and equipment.
• Take prompt effective action in response to Device Safety Information, National Patient Safety Alerts and Field Safety Notices.
• Maintain the Trust’s medical devices asset register accurately.
• Monitor key performance indicators and report on the compliance of medical devices maintenance.
