The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a leading global commodities trading organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager to lead a major transformation programme focused on implementing a next‑generation commodities risk platform.
This is a high‑profile delivery role where you’ll be responsible for coordinating multiple business and technology workstreams, managing senior stakeholders, and driving the successful implementation of a new enterprise risk solution across the organisation. The programme spans market risk, credit risk, system integration, data architecture, governance and business readiness, offering the opportunity to work on one of the firm’s most strategic technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale commodities risk transformation programme.
- Manage multiple interconnected workstreams across business and technology.
- Coordinate internal teams, external vendors and senior stakeholders throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Oversee implementation of a new enterprise risk platform, ensuring successful integration with trading systems, market data platforms and downstream reporting solutions.
- Drive programme governance, planning, delivery milestones and risk management.
- Lead business validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and go‑live readiness activities.
- Work closely with risk, trading, technology and data engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Support audit, governance and regulatory readiness activities ahead of production deployment.
- Ensure successful stakeholder communication across global business functions.
Required Experience
You’ll ideally have experience with several of the following:
- Commodities trading (Energy and/or Metals)
- Market Risk and Credit Risk programmes
- Potential Future Exposure (PFE)
- ETRM or CTRM implementations
- Data lake and reporting solutions
- Business transformation and change management
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation
