We’re recruiting for a newly created opportunity with a high-profile regional organisation that is investing in housing-led regeneration and economic growth across the West Midlands.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced development professional to assess, shape and influence major regeneration projects before they progress into funded delivery.
Working with local authorities, developers, consultants and senior stakeholders, you’ll help turn ambitious ideas into commercially viable schemes that deliver lasting benefits for local communities.
The Role
You’ll act as a trusted technical adviser, supporting partners to develop robust regeneration proposals and providing commercial insight throughout the early stages of project development.
The role combines technical appraisal, strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement, giving you the opportunity to influence investment decisions on projects ranging from town centre regeneration to large-scale mixed-use developments.
You’ll enjoy significant autonomy, building relationships across the region while helping to shape a growing pipeline of regeneration opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess regeneration and development schemes during the early stages of project development.
- Review development appraisals, viability assessments and commercial proposals.
- Advise partners on how projects can be strengthened to improve deliverability and investment readiness.
- Commission and manage specialist consultants where additional technical expertise is required.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, developers, investors and professional advisers.
- Present technical recommendations and commercial advice to senior decision-makers.
- Help ensure investment is directed towards projects with the strongest strategic and commercial case.
About You
You’ll be an experienced property or regeneration professional with a strong understanding of development viability and the commercial realities of delivering complex projects.
You may currently be working within:
- Development consultancy
- Property consultancy
- A residential or mixed-use developer
- Local authority regeneration
- The public sector
- A property investment or development organisation
You’ll ideally bring experience of:
- Development appraisals and viability assessments.
- Residential and mixed-use regeneration projects.
- Planning and development processes.
- Capital funding and investment.Presenting complex information to senior stakeholders.
- Building productive relationships across multiple organisations.
Chartered Surveyor status (MRICS), or equivalent professional experience, would be advantageous.
