About the Role
We’re supporting a global pharmaceutical organisation in appointing a Senior Project Manager to sit within their Commercial Strategy & Product Portfolio team.
This role is focused on driving the execution of portfolio-level initiatives, ensuring alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, and bringing structure, pace and visibility to key commercial priorities across multiple products and markets.
You will operate as a strategic delivery lead, working closely with senior leadership to translate strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy & Execution
- Translate commercial strategy into clear roadmaps, milestones and delivery plans
- Support management of a multi-asset product portfolio across markets/indications
- Track performance, identify risks, and drive mitigation strategies
Programme & Project Delivery
- Lead delivery of key commercial initiatives including:
- Product launches
- Indication expansions
- Lifecycle management programmes
- Ensure delivery is aligned to timeline, budget and strategic objectives
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Drive alignment across:
- Commercial / Brand Teams
- Market Access & HEOR
- Medical Affairs
- Supply Chain / Manufacturing
- Finance & Forecasting
- Lead stakeholders without direct authority to ensure accountability and progress
Governance & Executive Reporting
- Prepare and lead steering committees and governance forums
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership (Director / VP level)
- Deliver clear reporting on risks, progress and key decision points
Strategic Insights & Decision Support
- Analyse market trends, competitive landscape and product performance
- Develop data-driven recommendations to support portfolio decisions
Experience Required
- Strong experience in pharmaceutical or biotech environments
- Proven track record in project/programme management within commercial functions
- Experience supporting:
- Product launches
- Portfolio strategy
- Cross-market initiatives
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders in a matrix organisation
