Senior Sustainability Insights Manager

Would you like to play your part in shaping a sustainable future with one of the world’s most iconic brands? In this role, as a Senior Sustainability Insights Manager, you will lead the charge in developing thought leadership content and strategic insights to guide The LEGO Group’s sustainability journey. Your expertise will help anticipate global trends, synthesize complex information, ensure our efforts are grounded in the latest science, and inform decision‑making at the highest levels.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop thought leadership content, reports, and presentations to help anticipate future sustainability trends, developments and the latest science to inform decision‑making
  • Monitor and analyze global sustainability, ESG, and climate‑related trends, research and peer activity across a range of sustainability topics (e.g., sustainable materials, carbon emissions, circular business models, water)
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, forward‑looking insights and strategic briefings
  • Develop scenario planning, risk mapping, and foresight exercises and support with relevant data
  • Engage with external partners, platforms and forums to stay connected to emerging themes
  • Support awareness of sustainability trends and insights in the executive leadership team through analysis, insights and presentations
  • Manage contracts and coordinate with legal and other partners for partnerships

Key Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area for understanding societal development such as sociology or other social sciences
  • Proven work experience in trend analysis, sustainability strategy, ESG research and consumer research, preferably with hands‑on experience with scenario planning and foresight methods
  • Proven track record in building insights programs
  • Strong research and analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative methods, with the ability to filter signal from noise
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills—verbal, visual, and written, including extensive experience preparing executive‑level presentations
  • Familiarity with and experience using key ESG standards, carbon accounting approaches, climate policy developments, and global sustainability frameworks
  • Strategic approach with a passion for systems thinking and long‑term impact
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and influence
