EY-Parthenon Assistant Director – Financial Diligence

Join EY-Parthenon in a key financial diligence role, working on high-profile IPOs and transactions. You will assess target companies’ finances, identify opportunities and risks, and deliver actionable insights to clients and stakeholders.

The opportunity

Use our unique blend of strategy, transactions, tax and corporate finance to add real value for CEOs, boards, private equity and governments, supported by AI‑powered technology.

Your key responsibilities

• Understand the client’s business drivers and co‑develop due diligence approaches.
• Project‑manage cross‑service teams, ensuring progress and quality of deliverables.
• Gather, verify and analyze data; prepare written reports, presentations and client discussions.
• Build internal and external networks, identifying opportunities to sell additional services.
• Act as a trusted business advisor, establishing strong client relationships.
• Support team development and provide coaching to junior members.

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong analytical and data‑collection abilities.
• Experience delivering professional reports and client presentations.
• Supportive leadership, encouraging junior team development.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Business development experience.
• ACA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification.
• Commercial experience and/or relevant industry or transaction experience (including financial due diligence).
• A passion for delivering high‑quality client service.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Project management skills.
• Effective time‑management and calmness under pressure.
• Team‑player mindset with strong relationship‑building.
• Counselling skills (not essential).
