Job Overview

We’re looking to appoint a Project Management Assistant to join our Development Team on a full‑time, permanent basis. The role supports South West Wales projects from a head office base in Swansea, working in an agile environment. It presents an opportunity for those who enjoy organised, meaningful work and want to support the delivery of new homes and refurbishment schemes across Wales while developing a career in housing development and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of our development programme by coordinating projects and ensuring smooth customer journeys from build through to handover.
  • Assist with the handover process and manage defects, recording, tracking, and resolving issues within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate project data, support reporting, and keep key documentation organised and up to date.
  • Work across the full lifecycle of schemes, from construction to completion, building knowledge of housing development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Organised, proactive and focused on delivering a good customer experience.
  • Experience managing a busy workload, keeping accurate records and working across a range of tasks, staying calm under pressure.
  • Experience working with customers and confident in communicating with diverse stakeholders, adapting approach to the situation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to understand requests and respond clearly and practically.
  • Team player who supports colleagues and builds positive relationships with internal teams, contractors and partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new IT systems for project information management.
  • Understanding of housing, development or construction helpful but not essential.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work; occasional travel to Central and East Wales may be required.

Benefits

Full‑time, permanent role (37 hours) based in Swansea with hybrid working. Salary £31 364, 26 days annual leave rising to 31 days pro rata, plus bank holidays. Monday to Friday with the option to compress hours into a 9‑day fortnight.
