Build a Procurement Function from Scratch
Location: Mid Kent Job Type: 6-Month Contract (Potential to Go Permanent) Salary: £Negotiable
An established and growing engineering organisation is seeking a Procurement Manager to establish and lead procurement within the business.
This is a standalone, newly created role offering the opportunity to design and implement procurement strategy, introduce structure, and support ongoing business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategy, processes, and controls
- Take ownership of supplier relationships and performance
- Lead sourcing, negotiation, and contract management activity
- Identify cost reduction and value enhancement opportunities
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to support operations
- Support the organisation as it expands into new markets
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement within a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment
- Experience setting up or improving procurement processes
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work autonomously and take ownership of a function
Additional Information
- Office-based role, strong preference for on-site working
- Initial 6-month contract with potential to become permanent
