The role provides support to the Network team and covers all aspects of network infrastructure and security. The ideal candidate has an education or accreditation in network technologies or relevant experience within the last 2 years. The Infrastructure Team responds to support tickets, queries, fault reports and projects in a timely manner.
The Infrastructure Team is responsible for Network Infrastructure and Network Security, ensuring reliable and secure operation. The role requires a broad understanding of traffic flows between locations and beyond the organisation’s boundaries, and experience with enterprise networking, security platforms, wireless and access control, centralised network management, cloud‑based networking and automation.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor, manage and optimise enterprise network environments to ensure high availability, performance, scalability and security across LAN, WAN, Network Security, Cloud and Hybrid infrastructures.
- Design and deliver complex end‑to‑end network solutions, including routing, switching, network security and cloud connectivity, working independently and collaboratively to meet business and technical requirements.
- Balance BAU operational support with continuous improvement initiatives and project delivery, ensuring stability while driving modernisation and efficiency across the network estate.
- Act as a key escalation point for complex network incidents and major outages, driving structured troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers, promoting best practice, upskilling and knowledge sharing.
Required skills and experience:
- Expert knowledge of network and infrastructure technologies, including enterprise routing and switching, network security and hybrid cloud networking.
- Proactive, analytical problem‑solving skills in fast‑paced, high‑availability environments.
- Experience designing and supporting Cisco networking solutions.
- Advanced firewall expertise and senior‑level network engineering design and implementation.
- Hands‑on cloud networking experience delivering scalable and secure solutions.
- Automation‑first mindset, with scripting (PowerShell/Python), infrastructure‑as‑code and network automation frameworks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including translation of technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Flexibility to support business outside normal hours if required.

Working Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 8:30‑5:00 with one hour for lunch. Hybrid working in office and from home.
