Additional Locations: Kent SARC, TV SARCs, Surrey SARC.

Full time: 40 Hours per week, As needed 40 hours per week. 2 days home working a week max.

Salary: £40,000 per annum, rising to £53,000 once passing probation.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a quality professional with strong audit capability and experience operating in regulated healthcare environments.

You will:

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance of ISO 15189 standards across clinical and forensic services
  • Conduct and manage internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and continuous improvement
  • Embed a risk-based quality governance framework, aligning operational delivery with regulatory expectations
  • Analyse audit findings, incidents and KPI trends to drive data-led improvements
  • Support services to reduce variation, improve turnaround times and strengthen clinical quality
  • Act as a subject matter expert on quality management systems (QMS) and audit best practice
  • Deliver training and guidance on ISO 15189, audit preparedness and quality processes
  • Coach and influence operational and clinical leaders to adopt a “right first time” quality culture
  • Contribute to organisational learning through effective risk management and incident reporting

You will work closely with the Director of Governance and Quality, playing a key role in ensuring our services consistently meet the highest clinical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with ISO 15189 or equivalent quality standards
  • Strong background in clinical audit, compliance and quality management systems
  • Experience within healthcare, forensic, laboratory or regulated environments
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical service improvements
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and driving change across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, coach and challenge constructively
  • Audit course
  • A full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle as travel is essential.
  • Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent
  • Experience within SARCs, custody healthcare or justice settings
  • Knowledge and experience of CQC standards and wider healthcare regulation
