Linux & Network Systems Administrator

System Administrator | South Cambridge | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)

I’m currently working with an established technology company based on the outskirts of South Cambridge that is looking to add a System Administrator to its growing infrastructure team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with an impressive client portfolio, working in a collaborative environment where you’ll play a key role in maintaining and developing critical infrastructure.

The Role

• Implementing, maintaining, and managing server racks, internal networks, power, and cabling.
• Installing and configuring customer equipment.
• Maintaining infrastructure documentation and physical inventory using Git.
• Troubleshooting Linux systems, networking, and test automation environments.
• Deploying and maintaining core infrastructure, including switches, PDUs, and UPS systems.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Linux systems administration experience.
• Solid networking knowledge, including VLANs, routing, link aggregation, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience managing pfSense.
• Understanding of rack installation best practices, including cabling, power distribution, and equipment placement.
• A hands‑on approach with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
