How We Work
At ITN, how we work is as important as what we do. Our values describe what you can expect when you work here — and what ITN expects of you.
Ambition
We set bold goals, take ownership, and keep learning. We look for new opportunities and better ways to make an impact.
Courage
We speak up with honesty and respect, challenge ideas constructively, and value open, direct communication.
Team
We collaborate, celebrate others’ successes, and make sure every voice is heard. We put the team’s success first.
We also recognise the importance of balance and wellbeing, so we welcome flexible working, part-time roles and job shares across all areas of ITN.
The Role
ITN is looking for a Software Developer to join our software development team within the wider Technology department. You’ll build full-stack solutions that connect back-end logic with intuitive front-end design, working in a live production and broadcast environment.
A particular focus for this role is AI. We’re especially keen to hear from people excited about building practical AI-powered automations and agents to streamline how the business works and bring AI capabilities into our products.
At ITN you’ll find far more greenfield projects to build than legacy systems to maintain, giving you plenty of opportunity to work with current technologies and contribute to the technical direction of the business. You’ll join a friendly, supportive team that’s keen to mentor and share knowledge, with plenty of opportunities to grow throughout your time with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across a varied product backlog, building software for a primarily internal user base
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders across the full product lifecycle – from specification and design through to implementation, testing, and delivery
- Design and build web applications, background services, and desktop applications deployed across both on-premise and cloud infrastructure
- Build AI-powered automations and agents that streamline how the business works, surface information more easily, and bring AI capabilities into our products
- Contribute to greenfield projects using current technologies, helping to shape the technical direction of the business
Key Requirements
- Has a solid grounding in software development and is eager to keep learning and growing
- Cares about writing clean, readable, and well-structured code
- Is curious about how things work and open to better tools, methods, and processes
- Communicates clearly with colleagues across the team
- Is detail-oriented and motivated by seeing tasks and projects through to completion
- Is excited by AI and keen to build automations and tools that put it to practical use
Our teams work across a broad range of technologies. We don’t expect you to know all of them – a solid grasp of the fundamentals and a genuine willingness to learn matters far more to us than ticking every box. Don’t be put off if you’re missing specific skills.
We’d love to hear from you if you have experience with, or an interest in learning, some of the following:
